The Jigsource approach

The landscape of business is an ever-evolving picture. You don’t always want to hire a permanent resource and be stuck with on-costs and responsibilities and a structure that may not suit in a few months’ time. Maybe you’re a small business that just needs an extra pair of hands here and there. Perhaps you have a one-time project and want to outsource the management as you simply don’t have the expertise or available resource in-house. Sometimes you need an independent review of your business processes because your staff are too close to be objective. Don’t even have the desk space for a temporary assistant? Jigsource has a solution that fits.

Jigsource staff predominantly work remotely, reducing your costs and minimising disruption to your work space. As self-employed professionals, our business is your business. We take pride in every piece of work, big or small. Jigsource aims to seamlessly fit within your business, whenever you need us and only when you need us.

How it Works

No need for costly fixed-term contracts, you can sign up to Jigsource for one hour, one document, one project at a time. You provide Jigsource with the scope of work required and a mutually acceptable time frame and price are agreed with a self-employed Jigsourcer with a matching skill set. Some larger projects and consultant services will of course require on-site visits but we find that we can conduct most work remotely. You send us any necessary documents or content and provide network access (if applicable), and we work hard to deliver the finished product to your high standards. Progress updates are provided to a pre-agreed schedule so that you are assured we're on the right track.

Sharon White: Founder & Jigsourcer

I left my role as an Operations/Quality Management Systems Support Manager and started Jigsource after my maternity leave with my first child. As a working mum with a young family, I enjoy the independence, the diversity of work and the freedom to balance my professional and family lives.

I couldn’t decide what I wanted to pursue after having my daughter, but knew I wanted flexibility. I’ve had a varied career and gained a range of transferable skills and experience, and as I looked at my CV to review which area I might like to focus on, I realised there may be an opportunity to NOT choose; to maybe get the chance to do a bit of everything!

I’m something of a data geek so I’m easily persuaded that a good functional spreadsheet, database or CRM is a business’s best friend. If you have a load of management information or system data but you don’t know how to interpret it and make it accessible and useful, you have just the kind of challenge I enjoy!

Method, logic and procedure have underpinned my various roles and made me a natural fit for ISO 9001. I’m a believer in continuous improvement and that a business that doesn’t evolve, doesn’t survive but I’m practised in change management with a true motive - to avoid the trap of change for change’s sake. I qualified as a Prince2 Project Management Practitioner in 2017 and find the principles provide the structure, control and consistency to all kinds of scenarios; big or small.

I’m confident that Jigsource and I could be the missing piece to your business and I look forward to working with you!
